Current Status of AvP3
Alien vs Predator 3 is in the rumoured phase. We’ve heard nothing about another sequel since AvP Requiem was released. Producer John Davis mentioned in September 2008 that they’ve logically done all they can do with the AvP franchise.
“I think we’ve logically done what we could’ve done with the two AVP movies. But I think there’s something to go back to with Predator.” John Davis
In August 2022, as the new Predator film Prey had just been released, producer John Davis mentioned in an interview with Variety, what more they could do with Predator. AvP was mentioned for the first time in over a decade.
“Well, maybe there’s an origin origin story. Right? Maybe there’s another ‘Alien vs. Predator’ story in a different situation. And maybe there’s a new modern-day version. And maybe there’s something somewhere in between. I think this character can show up throughout history.” John Davis

Colin and Greg Strause
Colin and Greg Strause were adamant that they wanted to make Aliens vs Predator 3 when they were making AvP Requiem. They essentially wanted to make an AvP film in space, in the future but by the time they were hired, 20th Century Fox had already decided to go with Salerno’s script set on Earth. They incorporated elements of their ideas into the second film such as the Predator planet. ADI duo Tom Woodruff and Alec Gillis are also contenders for the director’s chair. Having worked on the alien special effects in each movie since Aliens, Tom Woodruff revealed in April 2008 that he and Alec Gillis had aspirations to direct AvP Requiem themselves.
AvP3 Cast
Nobody specific has been mentioned though it’s doubtful anybody who appeared in the first two AvP films would appear in the third.
AvP3 Storyline
The storyline for AvP3 is anybody’s guess. From the beginning, fans have wanted an Alien vs Predator film to take place in space far in the future. The Strauses had a few of their own ideas for a potential storyline. One of the ideas took place after Aliens and another one involved the Space Jockey creature seen in the original Alien. Of course, a movie set in space is costly and it’s obvious the studio doesn’t want to take the risk. If Alien vs Predator 3 does ever get the greenlight we could end up with another poor Earth-based setting. Shane Salerno also pitched a story to Fox where the Predator ship crashed in Afghanistan and the movie revolved around a special forces team.
Mix in with the movie prometheus
Fox doesn’t want to spend more budget on this movie.. Tht y this movie didn’t reach its potential…

What’s so difficult about recreating the original 4 comics to an epic big time production with a good director?
Money. Fox….they confuse and bother me.
I love the avp films but the need to go to the comics and make an avp with colonial marines in a kick ass planet and have diffrent breeds of xeons
If they do make a new AVP3 it should be either on the Preds home world or the aliens home planet.
Make the lead character a female like Sigourney Weaver.
doesn’t fox get it by now the key ingredients to a good AvP movie are:
1. the Colonial Marines
2. the Weyland-Yutani Corporation
3.in the future
4. on a colony somewhere (LV-426 or BG-386)
I love AvP it is my favorite sci-fi universe and it deserves justice one thing is for sure though since Ridley Scott is making Alien Covenant and Neil Blomkamp is making Alien 5 and Shane Black is making Predator 4 it is more likely we will get a AvP 3 around then so you should be on the lookout for a AvP 3 movie and AvP 4 game.
it needs experienced predators not young bloods like the first avp and if it has a predalien it should be like the one in the 2010 game not associated with the rest of the xeno hive
I have some ideas for an AVP film. It takes place in the future and the protagonist is a young woman named “Greta”(I think Tania Raymonde would be a good choice to play her) who is a marine and winds up joining forces with the main predator of the film. Set it on a different planet they arrive on. I think it should be called “Alien Vs Predator: Millennium”.
Well, the ending of AvP 2 was a bug cliff hanger, why not develop a story for the 3rd one that builds off of that? Some sort of private government sector with military affiliations got their hands on one of the Predator’s weapons, and are very interested. Let’s say they study it, and privately make some weapons of their own, based on the technology discovered from the dissection of the Predator weapon. Let’s say the movie picks up in a war torn country (i think a desert-type/middle-eastern setting would be great) where a small special forces team of this mysterious government organization is fighting with the predator technology-based weapons they developed. Perhaps it is such a heated conflict the Predators are drawn towards it,, especially heated because of the unique weaponry. Let’s say this use of their technology both infuriates and intrigues the Predators. So they sic Aliens on them. Stealthily deploying eggs. Maybe one of the hatchlings is queen-ridden. Perhaps the humans do surprisingly well against the aliens with their new weapons, so some very elite predators go down to join the fight (not just some teenage ones going thru a rite of passage).
My biggest problem with this is that if its middle eastern and desert like, there isnt really a dank or saturated humid area for a queen alien to lay her eggs from. Perhaps an old ruin underground…. but…. idk. thoughts?

I think an alien vs predator 3 they should have a warrior and a guardian go back and get the plasma cannon from the humans, but the humans had an alien and mutated to be bigger and stronger then the queen or they mutant the alien with all the other alien species and the final battle takes place at a nuclear plant
Perhaps we work with predator in the third one to wipe out alien for good. In space or on a planet (the alien planet even. Maybe even throw riddick from chrinicals of into the mix for this one. Or there’s a whole bunch of people with the face tatoo fighting with them.

If they make a predator 3 for the love of god get a director that has read and knows about the franchise please. The last two movies did no justice to the series. Alien scared my son, AvP made him laugh and say “is that and alien dad? They look weird ” . Fox do everyone a favor just sign the check and stay the fuck out of any decisions. 3rd time is a charm so get the right director, a amazing story line, less humans and more Aliens vs Predator with 300 type fight scenes of blood and gore, and real actors not ones from nickelodeon.

I made some mistakes on that last commit, oe was ment to be love, and somth was ment to be love. This computer is slow. God blees alieans and preditors.
I would oe to see the aliens and preditors fight in another movie. Two movies is not enoth for somth as cool as AVP.
I think that they are really dumb by saying that they done everything they can do with AVP. When the end of the last one they leave you hanging with the gun in possession of the US government! So to me ever since I saw that I was always have reason to believe that there will be coming a sequel? So if they wern’t going to make anymore AVP’s then why end a movie like that? This is rediculas!
If it doesn’t come out I will probably become a predator. I am a die hard aliens,predators, and aliens vs predators fan. It should be in its rightful place, but add a little extra into the mix as well. Make the final kills more violently. Like one where a predator rips out a persons brain or some thing. Aliens are pretty good except there should be more kinds maybe.
It would be more interesting if humans and the humanoid predator work together as it was on part 1

I Think Aliens Vs Predator Movies Will Be Released In The Near Future What Terminator And Aliens Vs Predator Did Was Capture The World
Where do I begin on my comment as to how to do a new AVP movie. Well, lets start with the biggest problem. The Directors. Prior to doing AVPR, the Strause brothers had never done a movie. They were Computer guys and had no experience as directors. That is how you get the AVPR, which basically took an opportunity to make a fantastic story and instead wasted it. Now, 20th Century Fox does make a new one lets get in an actual Director and some serious writers. Moving on to the next issue is the rating. The first AVP was rated PG-13, which was a big mistake considering that the Alien and Predator movies from before were all rated R. AVP-R at least made the attempt to correct this, but once again wasted just to show some terrible CGI brutality and allow actors to use curse words. If they do make a third installment to the franchise (and that’s a big if considering how it has been handled thus far) the original vision of Ridley Scott’s Alien needs to be resurrected, and bring back the original concept of the Predators. They are Aliens out to hunt us, not super hero’s here to save us(as the end of AVP turned it into). Lets also base this movie in the future, around the same time period as Aliens. That is how it was done in the books and the comics. If they need an idea as to how that is supposed to look, ask Halloween Horror Nights. Somehow a theme park managed to do an AVP attraction set in the future. In short, the whole movie franchise needs to be reworked and given much more care than it has thus far.
For all the people that want the movie to have them do research on the comics, games, etc what movie that comes out is exactly like that? Not walking dead, Harry potter, lord of the rings, even any movie based on a book, it’s just that. Movies come out not because they don’t do their research, because they have to try and grasp the attention of the fans. If you want the best, read. If you want a movie, you can’t expect every movie to be awesome. They will be butchered. Halloween definitely didn’t turn out like it should. Nothing does. But considering how many bad movies are out, Avp requiem in my opinion was not that bad. This comes from someone that reads, does research, and watches movies non stop repeatedly. Making a really good film is like writing a very good book, it’s not easy.
Alien Dragon Google the pics the regular alien and preditor team up because something else is out there and they go and start attacking the bigger creature which is the alien Dragon and they kill it and now the alien and preditor go against each other in the end. Sounds good to me
Been a big fan and been watching the aliens since I was 2 years old. I would love to see avp3 soon, same aliens and same preditor it would be neat to film the movie in Egypt or someplace neat . I really hope this happens

i think the predator movies are awesome and just keep getting better, alien vs predator was magnificent and requiem was great but please don’t leave us hanging. we want more and i think there is more. put another one on earth hunting in another big city and get a different plot going
I think it would be epic if an AVP3 was made and I know this is a crazy idea and it doesn’t follow the comics or video games and or movies but what if the predator and alien teamed up because they discover an even greater threat that’s even more powerful that them and the only way to stop them would be to team up as much as they hate each other, and in the end they end up killing the threat and they end up stabbing each other in the back . sounds crazy I KNOW!!!!!!!! it would sound cool though if you could imagine it.

Remember how AVP2 end. So they can continue the movie in earth another massive epidemic of aliens every where. So bad that all predators fly from space to earth to fight. A final fight humans vs Aliens and predators. And bring all the main characters from the first 2 films and the epic (Ellen Ripley) from the Aliens movies because remember that the last Aliens movie end wen she finally got home to (earth.)
I actually think that if they managed to have had Predators with Aleins in it with the humans as well.. All the dull moments in Predators could have been replaced with some cool scenes of the humans fighting off Aliens and Predators mostly just observing them. Small budget, alot better of a film..
Oh and no survivors.
There are many SPACE SHIP sets that were used in Alien, and for that matter, many other space ship type sets. AVP3 can be done in space, by re-dressing and useing the sets from other movies. “Yes, it’s better to build them for the movie”, but if they can’t afford too.. are we forced to see another AVP, on earth.
JUST FIND THE SETS AND USE THEM TO MAKE THE MOVIE SET IN SPACE..

forgot to add….this can lead to 2 AVP movies if one takes place in the past where the predators came in contact with the aliens,came to earth to explore the new game preserve and begin their hunt. And well, the other one can be later on in the future and so on.
AVP3: Human ship somehow makes its way to the predator planet, humans become prey to alien that somehow ends up there and produces more aliens. To make it more interesting there should be quite a few passengers on board to get a nice little army or aliens. The hunters will soon be the hunted. Different types of predators from elder more experienced to the less experienced, etc. sloppy ideas but im sure someone can make my ideas can be added into someone else’s storyline.
