Biography

Early Life

When Kevin was younger, he aspired to have an athletic career but was involved in gang crime and later convicted of murder and given a life sentence on Fiorina 161.

Ripley’s Arrival on Fiorina 161

An EEV, ejected from the USS Sulaco, carrying Ellen Ripley, Corporal Hicks, Newt and Bishop the android crashed onto Fiorina 161 in 2179. There was just one survivor – Ellen Ripley. Kevin helped Clemens tend to the injured Ripley in the infirmary.

When Ripley asked to see Newt’s body, Kevin accompanied Clemens and Ripley to the morgue and he particularly noticed Ripley’s odd behavior while she was examining her.

After Hicks and Newt’s funeral, Clemens was explaining the history of the prison to Ripley in the assembly hall as Kevin watched them from an above gantry. After Superintendent Andrews is killed, the prisoners come up with a plan to use quinitricetyline to lure the Xenomorph into the toxic waste disposal unit. The prisoners manage to trap the creature despite many of them dying in the process.

After the Xenomorph escapes, Ripley and Dillon convince the remaining survivors to use themselves as bait to lure the Xenomorph into the lead mold. When the Xenomorph appeared, Kevin witnessed it mauling Vincent. He got the creature’s attention before running away and closing the corridor door just in time.

As more prisoners were killed, Kevin goes through a corridor and the Xenomorph attacks him from above and lifts him up. It struck his neck with its inner jaw. Dillon appears and drags Kevin away into the piston chamber.

Dillon attempted to help him but he was severely injured. The Xenomorph enters the chamber and as Ripley and Dillon back off, the beast grabs Kevin’s body and runs off while Eric activates the piston.

Behind-The-Scenes

Actor Phil Davis did an interview in 2013 with Following The Nerd and he was asked about Alien 3.

FTN: You appeared in Alien3, were you a fan of the previous movies. Was it a hard shoot or did you have a blast doing it?

PD: I did enjoy the previous movies, especially the first but I had mixed feelings about taking it on. It’s always a frustration playing a small part in a big budget American film, it’s rarely fun. I had spent several months doing a fringe theatre production in London, it was a great success but there was no money.

I needed to earn some dosh and Alien 3 coming along was perfect in that respect so it would be churlish to complain. Our band of convicts were called in to Pinewood studios every shooting day, about whether we were likely to get on camera or not, we went mad with boredom, there were card schools, chess clubs, scrabble competitions.

The atmosphere on set was fractious and unpleasant, a lot of money was at stake and Fincher was making it up as he went along, story changes, script changes, every day. One character found out, (having shot all his best scenes) that he was supposed to be educationally sub-normal. It was difficult not to laugh. So not much fun, but lucrative.
