Peter Gregor

Peter Gregor was one of the inmates in the Fiorina “Fury” 161 Class C Work Correctional Unit and stayed on after Weyland-Yutani had closed the prison down.

Gregor was killed by the Xenomorph when the prisoners were using themselves as bait to lure the Xenomorph into the lead mold. Gregor appears in 1992’s Alien 3 and is played by Peter Guinness.

Biography

Early Life

Gregor was convicted of molestation and rape and received a life sentence to be served on Fiorina 161.

Ripley’s Arrival on Fiorina 161

An EEV, ejected from the USS Sulaco, carrying Ellen Ripley, Corporal Hicks, Newt and Bishop the android crashed onto Fiorina 161 in 2179. There was just one survivor – Ellen Ripley. After Hicks and Newt’s funeral, Ripley came over to Dillon in the mess hall to thank him for what he had said. Ripley sits in between Gregor and Junior.

Later, when Ripley is recovering Bishop’s remains in the junkyard, a group of prisoners including Junior and Gregor attempt to rape Ripley. Dillon beats them and Gregor crawls away. Ripley punched him in the face as she was leaving.

After Superintendent Andrews is killed, the prisoners come up with a plan to use quinitricetyline to lure the Xenomorph into the toxic waste disposal unit. The chemical is ignited too early which results in a chain reaction of fire and explosions. Gregor is caught on fire and Ripley and Junior come to his aid and put the fire out.

Ripley and Dillon convince the remaining inmates to use themselves as bait to lure the beast into the lead mold. Gregor takes part despite being badly injured by the fire. Many prisoners are killed and the piston is started too early. In the chaos, Morse and Gregor bump into each other and are relieved it’s not the Xenomorph they bumped into.

As they are laughing and joking about it, the Xenomorph appears and attacks Gregor, killing him.

Personality and Traits

Despite trying to rape Ripley, she later saved him when he was on fire. Despite being injured, he still took part in the final battle to lure the Xenomorph to the lead mold.

Behind-The-Scenes

The Special Edition contains a couple of new scenes involving Gregor. When the quinitricetyline is ignited, Gregor is caught on fire which Ripley and Junior put out. There’s also another scene in the assembly hall where Gregor lights a cigarette which gives Morse the idea to stand their ground in the furnace instead.

Alien 3 Novelization (1992 Novel)

In the Alien 3 novelization by Alan Dean Foster, Gregor appears as in the film. The novelization mostly follows the same path as the Alien 3 Assembly Cut. The prisoner that Ripley helps put the flames out is not Gregor, but another prisoner.

Alien 3 Comic (1992 Comic)

The Alien 3 Comic is a mixture of the theatrical and assembly cut with some new additions.
