Even the "mutant" whatever thing it is.
Don't misunderstood me by the way,
I'm not saying it's not gonna be the engineer,
just it can be anything, even an holograms.
That's why it is called speculation because the
product isn't out yet.
I don't know what everyone is referring about this giger wall.
If you take a look at the thing it for sure "seems" to be BUT
it's nowhere close to the original wall thing which was bio-mech,
you know like with bones things, pus*y & di*k shapes blablabla.
Everything seems too "technology" in this movie.
Even the space jockey seat place has changed into a more
technological place rather a bio-mech phantasm from Hans Ruedi.
I fear the "Bio" giger thing in this movie will be into the
Story itself with the jars DNA & the characters / relations / gods /
terraforming bullshit and it won't be subtle like in ALIEN with
sexual meanings all over the place in the set or in the manner
the characters act.
The more they tell of the movie and show, the more
I am disappointed.
The worse being "original ideas" that aren't.
Unless you find holograms for SJ originals, Fitness costume
ultra sexy for survival purpose originals, SJ being a suit originals,
I could continue on everything I see into the previous video and
interviews.

Well safe bet or not in your eyes but again Speculation. No one has even commented on what the space jockies look like. If people want to put 1 and 1 together and get 2 then be my guest. but at the end of the day untill the film comes out then every theory someone comes up with in regards to what they look like is pure speculation

You have a giant humanoid head (that is the Engineer's face from a report dated april 2011 that talk about the giant sculpture before we even heard about it).
You have a giant seat in front of the starmap console (and a tiny human).
You have Scott saying the SJ is a suit.
You have a blurry but humanoid nonetheless being near the rising chair.
And you have the famous Giger's mural that shows you an alive and kicking Humanoid Engineer.
I guess it's a safe bet that they will be giant humanoids, but hey you wanna play it safe i respect that

Disappointing though that the SJ is just a big human and not a distinctively 'alien life-form' as Giger pretty clearly and brilliantly depicted and as Dallas retorted when he first saw it in the 1979 movie.

Space Jockey inclusion and Weyland, complete with a Weyland-Yutani 'proto-symbol', is a lot more than a passing similarity.

The confirmation comes mainly from the most accurate leak that happened in april.

I was speaking with a guy who is working on the set of prometheus and he showed me some pictures and told me a bout the storyline. The space jockey that you see in alien who has had his chest busted open is the guy who engineers the aliens. He sends the aliens to planet that he wants to take over. The aliens kill the locals and he flys in and pillages the land of its resources. It seems as though he is responsible for the aliens creation, i'm guessing that he is some kind of super scientist.
The engineer is played by some huge guy who is 8ft tall. He appears even bigger in the space jockey scene from Alien as he is wearing a space suit. He appears to have died in a seat that looks like it is some sort of weapon control, this is in fact the navigation system that the space ship uses to open worm holes and plot its course. Perhaps the aliens revolted and, knowing that he has been impregnated, he is desperately trying to return home to have the alien extricated?
He showed me some pictures from the set. There is a huge silver bust of the engineers head, it is approximately 15m high. It appears that the engineer is sort of leader of a civilisation and there is a cult around his personality and his alien creations, this is probably due to the fact that he has mastered the technology that continues to provide the resource requirements of his home world. I also saw a picture of the actor who plays the engineer in what appeared to be some sort of cryo-chamber.
What are you and who are we now?
The idea that the Engineers of space are human opens up so much possibility...it's scary and moving at the same time.
I think we've pretty much conceded the Jockey is a giant humanoid - Engineer1 has posted evidence of this from the teaser trailers. One of his stills distinctly shows a giant on the finge of the Map Room. It wouldn't surprise me if the giant head is a representation of him.
I think in some pics the head has the mouth open, and in others close. Not sure tho....
Somebody mentioned Zardoz somewhere....I agree completelly...
