The Alien Chapter for Dead by Daylight is Out Now! New Xenomorph and Ripley Skins Revealed!

After the long rumored Alien Chapter was finally announced to be coming to the asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight, the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley have landed in the entity’s realm. The Alien Chapter is out now!

Behavior Interactive released a launch trailer for the content which you can check out below!


You may have noticed the Alien Queen in this new trailer, and yes she’s playable! The Queen is a premium skin for the Xenomorph featuring her own unique animations and sounds. She’s also a good bit larger than the default Xenomorph, making her the biggest killer model in the game. 

The Queen isn’t the only new skin announced today. As is typical for Dead by Daylight, the release includes additional premium cosmetics for the killer (The Xenomorph), and the survivor (Ellen Ripley). Here’s a list of them:

-The Xenomorph – Xenomorph Queen – Legendary 
-The Xenomorph – Grid Xenomorph – Rare 
-The Xenomorph – Xenomorph Clone – Very Rare 
-Ellen Ripley – Back in Action – Very Rare 
-Ellen Ripley – Ripley 8 - Very Rare

The Inclusion of the Grid Alien skin from AVP has led some to speculate that the Predator may be coming to the game as the next scheduled killer in November.

While the Nostromo Wreckage map has been added to the game for all players, the Xenomorph and Ripley are purchasable DLC content. 

The Alien Chapter pack can be purchased for $11.00 / £9.49 on the PSN Store, Xbox Marketplace, Steam, or Epic Games Store.

The Alien Chapter pack also includes some extras such as a charm of the motion tracker from Alien: Isolation (here’s hoping Amanda eventually makes an appearance as a new skin!), and Ripley’s ‘Back in Action’ outfit from Aliens.

     the Predator's m1 attack is replaced by Plasma Caster while Heat Vision is active, Plasma Caster can be charged up to 3 times, with no Charge Plasma Caster is a map wide Projectile with no fall off that can damage only one target at once for one health state. The Caster can be charged to up to 3 seconds, at 1 second the Caster creates a small explosion, damaging everyone within for 1 health state, at 2 seconds the blast is increased and will damage generators and destroy breakables within it, and 3 seconds the blast is once again increased, and direct hitting a survivor will instantly put them into the dying state.
    Plasma Caster and Heat Vision will both consume the power gauge. The power gauge will not recharge if cloak is being used.

    Blood Sport
    Blood sport determines the worthiness of your prey during the trial, as the trial moves on, survivors will gain Honor for completing generators, stunning you, taking protection hits, rescuing other survivors, this is determined by a bar around their portrait that only you can see, once the Honor bar is filled, the Predator's reticle will appear over that survivor's portrait for all to see, after that the Predator can take them to a hook and skin them alive no matter how many times they were hooked prior, this not only gives the Predator a huge amount of bloodpoints, but also fills him with pride in his hunt, giving him 5% haste and increased gauge regeneration for the next minute.
    Skinning a survivor takes the honor of all other survivors away by 25%
    Survivors lose a bit of honor when being grabbed out of lockers, blinding you(flashlight saves dont count), healing mid chase and covering themselves in mud within your sight.

    A serious version of the game would be great. Imagine Isolation with a multiplayer mode. The Alien can or cannot be controlled by a player, that's optional. But multiple people trying to survive against that AI and escape a map would be great. Maybe only one player has a flamer. Or all of them do, but the ammo is very limited, there are a million and one combinations.

    Dead by Daylight does this thing where they release "legendary cosmetic sets", it would be cool to see Hicks or even Bishop added as skins under the Ripley character. I really want Alien 3 Ripley and the Dog Alien to complete the quadrilogy before anything else though. Something that Dead by Daylight does well is introduce horror franchises to people who otherwise would have no interest in watching the movies they are from. I hope the Alien DLC brings more people into the fandom. More Alien fans means more Alien releases  ;D

    I thought the font was a nice touch. Using the Isolation font..all caps.....single spaces......good use of leading by pxl. white on a .....
    'gameplay'. I hope to god  there will be a DLC with italix one day. that would be worth double the price. Maybe  a stroke effect. a glow possible. i mean if its not in their budget I understand I'll take what they offer at face value. New modified font and all. umm.....and thoughts on gradients on the font (or is that too much cgi)?

    Those skins are awesome! I really like the deformed clone, it's actually similar to a concept I developed for my Alien RPG table. This would be how the neomorph looks at the end of it's fast paced life cycle.

    Glad they gave Resurrection some notice. They went wild with this clone skin, similiar to one of hybrids from tubes. Although cowards should just gave us honest Newborn, my beautiful butterfly  :)
