Hot Toys Announces New Prey Collectible!

Despite Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey being popular with both fandom and critics alike (it recently racked up a huge 6 Emmy nominations), merchandising for the latest entry into the Predator franchise has been very light on the ground. However, we’re starting to finally see more releases.

Cavity Colours has released a clothing collection, Sarah Schachner’s fantastic score also received a vinyl release, and  NECA is apparently working on a Feral Predator. And while we still await a home release of Prey, Hot Toys has just announced they are working on a collectible for Prey!

Hot Toys Announces New Prey Collectible!

There’s been no clarification whether it’ll be a Feral Predator or Naru release, or an estimated release. It’s actually been sometime since we last saw Hot Toys release for an Alien or Predator film when they re-released a Wolf Predator in 2017. Despite announcing collectibles for both Alien: Covenant and The Predator, neither were actually released.

I figured it was a nod to that technology for Feral's gear in Prey. https://i.ibb.co/ZGgkH4F/content-7.jpg These suits are finished in this photo. I looked at photo references on the finished suits in the film and other shots and they do not have knee straps or right shoulder straps. It's especially visible on Stalker and Shaman and Snake in various photos and very clearly after City Hunter removes King Willie's head.

Huh? I did not know this. I assume they were there as why would I think otherwise with all that fog going on about in the last scene of the film. What a weird surprise.

The temptation to get Cain and Wick to make a fun fight scene between them vs Feral.
Honestly I would not have found out if I didn't question why they were not on the Neca Figures lol. I was looking at my City Hunter and thought "Did Neca forget to sculpt in knee straps?" Then I started looking into it and noticed a few scenes that showed the knees and behind the knees and sure enough they were nowhere to be seen. Then later noticed the shoulder armor. It was surprising to me as well I must say.

Ah, I was mistaken about the straps on Hot Toys Feral..they aren't actually there lol.
Thank god I thought I was going blind when you mentioned them.

Haha yeah honestly it's just a trick of the eye in one photo near the shoulder joint. I as well am glad I was mistaken.

Looks good except for the straps to hold the Medpack on his back, Feral did not have any. Also the mouth looks a little wide? Thick? Idk something is off. They should have used magnets for the back. Also WAY too much hair. At least I can't complain about the paint and sculpt work though otherwise lol. Though at the price this will be, it makes sense to be more critical than say for a Neca figure.

Give me a Hot Toys Feral! Also, I'd love a Taabe or Naru. Wow, If they give us a Feral fighting a Bear I'm gonna literally shit myself! Glad I could finally contribute some news to my favorite website!

I would love to have a Naru, Taabe, and Sarii combo. Would be a cool set up to have with a 3v1 fight against Feral on my desk.

Now, PLEASE, I beg you Hot Toys to get Illfonic and Sony to have the rights to make figures from the characters in Predator Hunting Grounds. Where is my Cleopatra figure? My Dutch and Isabelle 2025? I would also love their version of the Samurai Predator figure on my desk too.
