Go Behind-The-Scenes of Prey With Predator Legacy Featurette

20th Century Fox have released a new Prey featurette: Predator Legacy Featurette! The featurette begins with footage from the first Predator before it moves onto the behind-the-scenes of the new Predator prequel Prey. Director Dan Trachtenberg talks about the premise of doing a Predator film in a different time period. There’s new behind-the-scenes footage of Naru running through the grass and other various shots.

The featurette contains more interviews with producer Jhane Myers and actress Amber Midthunder. There’s quite a few new shots of the Predator attacking the Comanche tribe and we have probably the best look at the Feral Predator’s mask. You can watch the featurette below:

Prey will stream August 5, 2022, as a Hulu Original in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories. Holy shit everything becomes so polítical these days because of these bastards, but for better for worse, the Entertaining is polítical.  :-X

These are just pejorative terms used by far-right people. Usually misogynists, anti-science / anti-critical thinking individuals, religious fanatics, fascists, etc.

I think they should drop their political bias and offer genuine criticism instead.

Hey! I'm like that, but I don't hate women. 😂

God forbid a woman can fail and learn, fail and learn some more, use her instincts and ingenuity, evolve, adapt... The irony is that the original was a complete satire of masculine stereotypes (McTiernan's commentary makes it quite clear). Morons screaming about "wokeness" (for sure there can be excesses but that's the case with every topic/subject since...forever lol) really aren't thinking. Not to mention they haven't seen the damn movie yet. 😂

Have secured an exclusive fan screening at the Astor in Melbourne, Australia tomorrow night. Can't wait!

Quote from: Corporal Hicks on Aug 02, 2022, 08:12:48 AMIt's not "woke". Naru isn't a Mary Sue. Her character is well defined and developed, learning and developing as the film goes on. We see her failing and improving. Her being a female doesn't even really play into it that I remember. Not that massive of a spoiler but just in case.

    Spoiler
It was more about them believing that Naru is able to offer the camp more from her medical skills than go out hunting.

I really appreciate your position on this, thanks for standing against this kind of dumb, toxic excess of masculinism, and sorry If I'm nitpicking, but I think we really need to STOP giving
any credit to this "Mary Sue Theory" bullshit, It's driving me mad how people talk about it like it's a real real thing and like it's only bad writting which involves women...

It's really unfortunate that so many critic reviews on different websites will be literally a 1 star or similar equivalent, just because the lead character is a female and they can't handle it. So they give it a bad score despite most likely not even seeing the movie themselves or they did and likewise could not handle a lead female fighting the Predator despite it never being about physical strength, dutch got thrown around like a ragdoll in the first film and he was the Terminator for crying out loud.

Quote from: SeegsonWorker on Aug 01, 2022, 05:48:42 PMPredator 1 is great but I love how they ignore mentioning others which really established the character like Predator 2. Any true Predator fan loves Predator 2. If you only like the first you're barely a Pred fan.

This kind of silly gatekeeping should stay on the playground.

Quote from: ROYCE_THE_PREDATOR on Aug 02, 2022, 01:52:27 AMAlright let's start over, Prey will not be woke, it will be great, I hope at least

Trigger warning: It's very woke. It's all about black people staying vigilant to racist violence. I'd advise staying in your safe space and not watching it.

This "woke" nonsense is really REALLY old.
If Aliens had come out this year folks would be calling it "woke" because Ripley is female. As soon as someone says "woke" I know all I need to know about them.

Yeah, the scenes themselves look pretty awesome, but i gotta say, its really irritating to me that Dan is fully spoiling the ending.
He literally said in multiple interviews during the last weeks that it was "important to him that Naru takes the Pred down on her own" and such.
And now here hes saying the question is "how this character with her self-made weapon is going to beat an advanced enemy". Not IF shes able brings it down at all.
Yeah, we all know the chances of the Pred dying at the end are always extremely high, but i dont really like the fact that hes basically spilling the confirmation of that out every chance he gets.
It definitely takes away a great amount of tension for me when not even the director himself tries to keep the ending unpredictable.

@MathieuFromFrance yeah I basically agree with what you said how they know the average person who isn't really a fan of the series or invested in it may only really know P1. Lastly I'll always say AvP is underrated. Sure it should have been like comics and games and R rated but it's still awesome. We have Lance in that movie that alone gives it a serious boost.
  10. Fury161Inmate
@BIOROBOT they're really not. The director already said it's "Feral's" first hunt not the entire species. So it all fits nicely 😎

I understand why they focus on the 1st one, it is just the best.
It is all marketing,  they know it.
We fans,  we know Pred 2 is a good sequel,  adding lore etc...(lore that leads to AVP 🤔🤔🤣)
But the very fact is, the large audience will nerver be aware of that production still...
So...only fans (not in one word 🤣) will notice it and...it as barely no effects on Prey success

I like the behind the scenes stuff, looks like it was shot properly so hopefully we'll get a nice behind the scenes featurette (longer than 90 seconds anyay) at some point after release
