The Jockey looks burned or deformed in its scenes with Shaw. Sure one of the set reports commented on its head being scarred. Looks creepy!
    Spoiler

I'd go with burned/has no suit on so his body deteriorates. I guess the subsequent scene is where Shaw is cornered and screaming.

Im guessing its just lighting, but in the top shot you can see that the SJ no longer has a collar, he has an unmasked "spawn" look. Also in the second shot he has something over his lower face, very "Darth Malgus" looking. Could just be lighting though.

I tried messing with the color settings in the trailer when the lights go out and you should be able to make out the SJ's whole face but they deliberately blacked it all out.

Didn't someone claim that they had seen the movie and mentioned that there were beings with weird Pinocchio-like noses.

    Looks like they were right.

Some GREAT shots of the Jockey ... but they are showing too damned much, especially of Rapace's birth scene. I'd rather not know about that at all.

great shots? that thing attacking shaw isn't a jockey it's a human right ?

but the jockey at the door is the one that's in the pilot chamber i think

    HD DOWNLOAD LINK ANYONE?
It's the jockey, it looks different for a bit because of the lighting in the scene, but then you see him as he is. it's the scene before the one in the trailers with Shaw sitting in the corner screaming with the jockey head in front of her

OK, guys from this tv spot it's clear that the twitter girl is spot on. She said that one of the guys bite's the snake and the it starts spraying acid and melts his face. In my opinion there is no doubt what Millburn does next when the snake is in his mouth...

New TV spot with new footage

Thanks, Cory! ;D I must say that looks pretty great actually.  I'd even go so far as to say it's the best TV spot so far.  I'm surprised they showed more of the engineers(?) though.  I didn't slow it down or go frame by frame but I assume that's what I saw.

Anyway, I have to agree that it's quite spoilerish.  I think this may be the clip that forces me to not look at anything else Prometheus related before I get to see the film.

It looks like the Prometheus TV campaign has finally begun in earnest (at least here in the US).
There were two commercials shown during 'Big Bang Theory' (which has the target audience and is one of the highest rated shows on TV).

I noticed a couple more ads, but I don't remember what shows they were attached to.

Unfortunately, none of them had new footage...but it's interesting to see the ramp-up getting started.

First the image was shit....dodgy...now, because it's finished it's too much CGI? Really? Really? Comparatively the CG is almost absent when viewing the star wars prequels and the rest of the summer fair. I'm all for opinions....and frankly I've seen two clips featuring Noomi's acting that give me good pause and some of the writing that doesn't measure up to my hopes....but they are not even important concerns and do more to balance my expectations then anything.

What I continue to read in these other critical comments aren't just concerns, it's people seemingly writing the entire team behind Prometheus off because, in their mind, it doesn't fall in line with THEIR vision of what they want this film to be. That's wholly unfair to me.

The original image wasn't perfect but it was still dark, moody and the colour grading still had an Alien feel to it.  This new image is way too sharp, the colour grading is all wrong and almost cartoon like.  I'd be very suprised if it ends up exactly like that in the movie, obviously they've tried to match the Jockey with the hologram and gone over-board.  If you think the CG is fine that's your problem, I'm just talking about one shot anyway, but we're all entitled to our opinions here so back off!!

I hope the top image is just promotional and not the real deal.  I mean, I don't complain much about CGI as I'm a fan of it most of the time, but this new image just looks soooo lame.  The original (bottom) image isn't perfect either, but it's still so much better hands down!

maybe that's more your cup of tea. :P

People are entitled to their opinions.  We're obviously all here because we're all looking forward to the same film.

Some people think Prometheus is going to be absolutely amazing and wouldn't change a single thing even if they could.

Some people think it's going to be potentially epic but they're concerned about a few smaller elements that might not affect the story but can prove to be distracting.  That's me.  I'm really excited to see it but I would be lying if I said there wasn't something that I'm unsure of at this stage.

Anyway, I can't wait to see how it all turns out.  At the end of the day, we ALL want the film to do well and be amazing.

Hell, I agree with all your saying.  Some shots I definitely liked pre-special effects, and others look even better.  The RT01 driving back to the Prometheus looks cool with the planet, but I liked the brighter and more visually appealing look of before.  As important as it is to praise Ridley Scott, we must also state our own opinions, and not just worship a film none of us knows how will play out.

    ...just saying.

And I belive the jockey pictures is simply from two diffrent point in time.
    1. When "Starmap"  is deactivated 2. When it get activated and color the scene blueish.
