AvP2 Trailer Description?

Arrow in the Head received an account of what the AvP2 preview trailer will show. Take this as unconfirmed for now:

“It starts with: ”˜In space…’Then a shot of what looks like a Predator spaceship on fire, flying towards earth. Then: ”˜No one can here you scream’. Then shows the spaceship crashing on earth with the words: ”˜On earth, it won’t matter’. Lots of different quick shots, one of a girl having a nightmare then the dad comes into the room, saying there’s no such thing as a bogeyman, and shines a torch on the window of her room, only for a alien/predator hybrid to jump up.

Then there’s shots of what looks like a lab or hospital with face huggers jumping around, an Alien appearing behind a doctor and similar scenes. Then there’s lots of shots in the rain, such as an alien jumping on a helicopter and a predator facing off against two aliens. Lastly there’s a montage of face huggers, explosions, aliens and predators all to to the song’ Silent Night, Holy Night’ – and it finishes with: This Christmas!”

Colin revealed yesterday that the ship from AvP isn’t the one that crashes onto Earth. Just a guess but in one of the video interviews with Anderson, he said that the ship in AvP has smaller ships hidden away in it so I’m guessing it’s one of those that crashes. Thanks to Darkoo for the news.

    Hey .I Am a Big Aliens and Pred fan .Am Looking sooo forward to this moevie.  Just one thing in the previous movies before avp.in the future they where very serious bout not getting Aliens to earth(as if  Aliens never where there before)...But they "W.Y. corp" . always going on bout their bio weapons division.....  Avp. described a very good starting to the whole Alien saga to me .  I hope some future movies might take place a bit more in space ...?  What do you guys think of avp + avp2 setting place on earth?(I like it but , Id also like some more scenes from space....)  Damm I wish there where more avp moevies !!!!!!!

    @abnormal - it's a homage to the originals, which is exactly what I think they should be going for.  I was hoping the trailer would reference the originals in some way.  To use the tagline for the original Alien was a good move.

    I hope the trailer is good.     ;D    I never have high hopes for any film series that I'm a fan of but I am looking forward to it   I just hope we can download the trailer instead of seeing it on a website that you can't download from.   ???

    ey hicks i meant the wording is rehashed, not the trailer. the wording for the scrapped alien 3 trailer was "on earth everyone will hear you scream" this one is  ‘No one can here you scream’ on earth it wont matter" spot the bloody resemblance. by the way, hicks is sposed 2 be corporal not private

    The trailer sounds awful. Seriously, this is what they've been working so hard on for so long - a montage of face huggers, explosions, aliens and predators all to to the song’ Silent Night, Holy Night’

    the only thing that sounds lame 2 me, is the wording "On earth, it won’t matter’. its just rehashed from the scrapped alien 3 trailer. but the trailer sounds not 2 bad.

    I'M MATT  I posted the description. Was in a rush when I was typing it up. Another couple of things that happened were:   Someone on the phone saying: "General, how much time do we have"   Cutting to a missile heading towards the town where the aliens and the predators are. Also from the looks of it, it may only be one Predator in this one as the ship crashes at the beginning and all we really see is one predator apart from the hybrid of the two."   http://joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=9031   The same scooper who posted on AITH said this below as a message.

    I dont want to prejudge before actually seeing it (if this is the real trailer) so Im gonna wait. But I have to admit, it SOUNDS really stupid. It sounds like cliches from a cheap slasher movie.

    no it isn't  i can't belive it, how you guys still having hope. three lessons and none of them taught you to not belive in anything trailer related, what colin say.  and then will come friday and again there will be nothing. and once again everyone of you will be bashing directors because of their optimistic prophecies.  just like after comic con promise, week after promise, and week after week promise    ::)    the trailer isn't going to be released for at least 6 another weeks. deal with it.

    This is BS...simply a fan starting a rumor. 1rst they reported the name of the film wrong. it is Aliens vs Predator : requiem not Alien vs Predator Req.  Secondly after the intense secrecy on this film there is no way that the predalien is going to be revealed in the trailer. the major horror boards are not following this film closely so it seems lime an IMDB poster simply sent it in as a scoop.

    excellent! cant wait... i got a feeling its gna be worth the wait... esp if Fox were willing to up the budget to open it for a sequel... R rated chestbursting heaven! from the sounds of things colin & greg know theyre alien/predator stuff... still praying for the trailer... ASAP x

Thats all.    Colin, do you think maybe it could be posible to have the trailer this week?   Colin:   Yes, it's possible. The final color was set last night, and it was recorded out to film. Once we spot check the film this morning, then it should be ready to go.

    This can't be real, fire can't burn in space, also the ship in AvP cannot be a mothership unless its just a cruiser that holds other smaller ships and a larger one that holds it, that can't be mothership so I'm not sure about which crashes to Earth. Sounds too short, just have to wait and see when it comes out.

    does anyone think its kind of strange that the little girl in the trailer is using a TORCH to see in the dark, what kind of present day parent give their kid a torch to see in the dark , ever heard of a little thing called a flashlight.what are they cave men. I mean come on she could set her room on fire . besides that the trailer sounds badass.  ____________________________________________ _  Dude, thats not the girl with the torch, it said her father holds it up to the window and an alien/hybrid comes jumping up outside the window.

    I forgot to add this would be much more feasable than the big AVP ship crashing back to Earth (too far away), and also allows perhaps for the Predalien to grow at the "normal" rate, rather than the "matter of seconds" that the old script mentioned. It could be at any point after the chestburster emerges than a few Predators could get to one of their smaller ships, and try to seek safety at Earth. Makes so much sense now   :)

    Good theory by Darkness about the crashed ship being one of the smaller vessels docked undeath the larger one from AVP1   :)   I'm thinking as the smaller ship races to Earth to escape, the Predalien is also onboard, kills the pilot(s) and survives the subsequent crash.
