For our first interview discussing the making of Prey, Corporal Hicks and RidgeTop were honored to be joined by none-other-than Dane DiLiegro, the actor inside the Feral Predator!
We talk how Dane first realized he’d been called in to demo the Predator suit on behalf of studioADI, small electrical fires, preparing for the role by watching Mr. Bean, and plenty more!

Also his reverence and respect for the predator creature and what it represents to the community speak volumes! I have a ton of respect for what he's done for the franchise. They need to cast him again for all of the other predator movies. You're hired Dane.
Yeah, good interview. I still watch Mr Bean from time to time. And Mario Paint rings a bell. I think I really wanted it at the time.
Couple of nuggets in there about deleted scenes I've not heard before.
*extra cheek smooches for all
...
Glad to hear Aaron also does not like the whole 'yautja' thing. You have redeemed yourself after saying you weren't the biggest fan of Feral's face.
I just had to stop and post quickly to ask if it'd make Hicks hate The Predator even more if I said that technically "Yautja" is actually spoken on screen for the first time by the Upgrade Predator just before he fights Fugitive?
EDIT: Just finished it, that was indeed a great interview!
And thanks for asking one of my questions! I love that it led to that bit of Mr Bean trivia too, I used to watch the hell out of Mr Bean growing up, so that was very cool and unexpected to hear, but makes total sense!
And yep, I'd definitely be down for Dane returning in a new movie. Fingers crossed they both end up happening!
Predators 2010 was the perfect opportunity to show bad bloods, and whether that was their intention or not they kind of botched the presentation. As much as I enjoy their look and design, the trio in that film were just kind of presented as "bigger, badder...but also not really."
It was cute seeing him go around the room grabbing all the goodies he obtained from working on the set.
Other things hint at it in the film. He brutally kills without trying to subdue the opponents as quick and clean and painless as possible like other predators. Kills unarmed individuals and cheats. Like when fighting Tabe, instead of fighting honorably he literally cloaks and sneaks away mid fight just because he's losing. Tabe even yells "cheater!" And lastly uses long range weapons on enemies without them. In most predator lore that would be considered bad blood traits.
What makes you say that?
Absolutely. He's such a pleasant bloke.
I'm intrigued
