In this episode Corporal Hicks and RidgeTop are joined by Ian Edginton, the writer behind many of the Alien and Predator staples thanks to his work with Dark Horse on series such as Aliens: Rogue, Aliens vs. Predator: Eternal, Aliens: Purge and Batman/Aliens 2.
We talk Ian’s long involvement with the Alien and Predator franchises, discussing the creation of the Alien King, the influence behind leprosy stunting Alien development, Predator biology and plenty more!
Unfortunately, I was recording using the wrong microphone for this episode, so I’m sorry to say that I don’t sound quite as like my usual lovely self as normal. As Ian mentioned at the start of the episode, his son was also with him, so occasionally he contributes towards the discussion as well.

Enjoyed what I saw of the podcast. Had it on at work so did not get to see all of it. I was impressed with him as a person the way he interacted with his son.

For real, I didn't realise he was responsible for more than one of the old classics. Would definitely be great if he was indeed able to return at some point now during the Marvel years for something new.

EDIT: I'm a few minutes in and just got to the part where Ridgetop asks about writing a comic with no dialogue, and the way the music kicks in immediately afterwards makes me imagine that he's just asked "The Forbidden Question", and Ian Edginton's face has just gone blank and he's now staring at him like ".....the **** did you just ask me?!?!"
