Perfect Organism Talks to NECA’s Senior Director Randy Falk

The crew over at the Perfect Organism Podcast have published their latest podcast episode and have done an interesting interview with Senior Creative Director at NECA, Randy Falk. This covers everything about the figures, how the ideas are conceived, securing likeness rights with the actors and to the figures getting made.

It’s slanted towards Alien figures and what’s coming out soon but even for NECA collectors in general, the episode is still quite interesting to hear the process of making the figures.

NECA’s 4th Wave of their Alien 40th Anniversary figures are due to be released this month which include Ripley and Lambert in their compression suits with new head sculpts. Rounding off the set is a grey variant of Big Chap based on H.R. Giger’s early concept work.

Good to hear him mention interest in the flying queen.

She, the bull alien, and a certain creature from Into Charybdis are at the top of my wish list.

I've been wondering if a flying queen would be a standard sized figure, a bigger ultimate figure, or a full-sized $100 queen fig. After listening to him outline the hassle & risk of releasing big queen figs, I'm expecting an ultimate-sized figure.
