Alien Resurrection touched on the horrors of cloning and recreating a species, something that Jurassic Park III should have done.

But... isn't that what the entire series focused on...

Yes, it is. But I feel like JPIII completely dropped the ball on that. The first film delved into that very concept. Its been a while since I've seen the second, but from what I remember it somewhat explored the 'rights' that these animals had now that they exist again on our planet. JPIII never really touched on any of that stuff...they just rescued the kid and then got off the island.

You could just think of it as the continued consequences and horrors of creating them in the first place, but I guess I see what you mean.

I see where you're coming from. I guess I just wanted to see that a bit more in the forefront.

I do have great memories of seeing JPIII when I was younger, and can certainly find enjoyment in it if I decide to sit and watch it (the pterodactyl scene was especially good). Johnston was a great director for the film, he just didn't really have much to work with.

I actually find this kind of terrifying. Like, if I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that at my window, I'd probably curl up against my wall and rock back and forth.
