From Variety's Cannes article:

Most surprisingly, according to two well-informed sources, there will even be a David Lynch feature film which has been completely off the radar and stars Laura Dern — either as a cameo or a supporting role — along with some other Lynch regulars.

The feature could either be a standalone movie that the "Mulholland Drive" helmer shot under the radar or an extended pilot of his upcoming series "Wisteria" which is rumored to star Lynch regulars including Laura Dern and Naomi Watts.

Gonna drop the Unrecorded Night/Wisteria thread in here since that's where I was previously collecting updates, and it is very much looking like this Cannes film, if it is a real thing, is that project (or a sort of evolution of it):

Lots of Twin Peaks/Lynch regular actors were posting pictures of wisteria trees last year on social media.

Also, remember back last year when David Lynch randomly grew his hair/beard out like this?

What's pretty wild, though, is that while all of this back and forth was going on about the Cannes reports being false, Mädchen Amick went ahead and posted another wisteria picture on her Instagram story.
