Just have read Eric Red's script for Alien 3. Well, it wasn't as awful as i thought it would be hearing other people opinion. Yeah, characters definitely aren't its strength (it's ridiculous how often it uses capital letters to express strong "emotions") But i like how it takes Gibson's ideas and just makes them 10 times more crazy. I would love to see alien cow or alien rooster or even alien mosqiuto. I like how dark beginning it has, i like that it's really unclear what happened to poor Ripley, Hicks and Newt. I like that everything goes to shit pretty fast. I think that script has really good portion of hopelessness and bleakness in it. And honestly i like how script describes mutating space station even if it doesn't have much logic in it.
Also Hicks loves to talk how Covenant new lore was heavily inspired by Gibson's script. Well, could i say that scene with xeno headbiting the camere from Red's script inspired something in second prequel?
