"The cast look like children and the movie will be bad" was more entertaining than your new Godzilla line.

"Fede Álvarez hates Aliens and ignored every word of advice that came out of James Cameron's mouth" is the funniest one though.

I only said that Cameron advised Fedе that at least one of the heroes should remain alive.

But in the end everyone will die, but the Alien will remain, and there will be such an effect as if the soul of the last one whom the Alien kills leaves and moves away into space (camera view), this will be an epic end that will return us to the beginning of understanding what Alien Xeno is.

First, I don't mind the tendons, I think they look fine. I'm really liking the fact that we're getting a biomechanical alien since Resurrection, Made a trend of fleshmorphs within these movies. This is a breath of fresh air

Buddy, have you seen the AVP movies?

The Clone🧬morphs from Resurrection, with everything and Newborn, have grown on me. I saw the movie a couple of days ago and enjoyed it more than in ancient times. :)
Damn the Fleshmorph... damn them all

I dunno, I don't like the ADI face yet I prefer it to what we're seeing for Romulus. The tendons just look so f**king lazy it's distracting.

Rest of the body seems to at least be kind of biomechanical, and while the shoulder pads look awful at least the Alien's shoulders aren't melted into them for the first time in like 30 years.

No, that's not it. It's in the very upper right and it's definitely a facehugger.

This was noticed in the very first minutes after the trailer was released.
    -_-
Yeah, again, that's why I prefaced it with stuff I personally noticed and apologized if it had already been mentioned.  ::)

what is the pulsating bit on the aliens chest (below its neck) on the final scene of the trailer opposite Rain? its quite hard to see but seems strange?

That is its neck isn't it? It's just its throat pulsating as it's screaming at her. Something that shouldn't even happen as a xeno shouldn't be fleshy like that.  ::)
  9. Sabres21768
Watched the 4K and saw some things I hadn't noticed before. Just my personal observations, so if these had been mentioned, I apologize.

    Spoiler
-In the scene immediately after the scene where Andy puts the vials down, where the door opens on the 3 characters, there is a facehugger moving in the upper right of the scene.
-The Alien seems to have digitigrade legs. And it seems to be holding Rain by the leg from above when she shoots it. Not from below like I originally thought.
-In the scene with the facehuggers unthawing, I believe those containers are not stacked floor to ceiling as I'd originally thought. It looks like the room is on its side and the facehugger containers have temps on them and carrying handles.
-Andy DEFINITELY has the Wey-Yu logo in his left eye. Not sure what's on his right eye.
-In the scene with the Alien limb unfurling, I believe that is its foot, as it has its hands across its head when it comes out of the cocoon. If it's a hand, then maybe it's Big Chap's.
-In the scene with the Alien roaring at Rain, it actually has its left hand on her or right next to her chest. Not across its own chest as I had originally thought.

Got to admit the 4K version of the trailer looks quite a bit better, film grain is now visible  unlike the mushy 1080p version. Very much hope so that the full feature has grain implemented, I know that it's added in post but even fake grain helps to make the film look less digital, important for a film set in Alien universe.

Quote from: AlienatedPredator on Jun 27, 2024, 02:00:17 PMSo I think the main worry with a young model-wannabe cast is this: the average person is NOT good-looking. The first Alien movie was a bunch of average-looking folks or even homely (Cartwright). It destroys the realism when you have a bunch of pretty faces in what's supposed to be gritty sci-fi horror. So it's not their supposed acting ability or lack thereof that's an issue, it's the realistic factor of having a cross-section of average-looking people like you would in everyday life (like the ones you see in Walmart maybe  :P ).

I think beauty is often thought of as fragile a surface quality without inner substance. So a squad of "models" male or female would not be equated with strength. I think acting ability is paramount. You can have a face that reflects a strong personality but if they can't act. They are part of the decorations.

This is not a factor for me since I'm good-looking. hahaha

I wanna see those jazz hands and that screech back at some point!

This! 8) The Alien these days is very feral!😅 like a space velociraptor (not the real one though😱🐓🍗 :-X the Jurassic Park's one) jumping and screeching. Big Chap was different😃

With slow and exaggerated movements as if it were calculating the situation. More like a notorious space serial killer.

They should make the Alien behave like that again...or at least make it move in a weird, contorted way, like breaking its bones or something! >:(👉👈

I prefer it that way too. The jumping all around thing was best suited for Alien 3 in my opinion, coming from an animal.
I would need to watch again, but I feel it was a mix in Alien 3. It definitely spent more time being high speed, but it had a couple of nasty ambushes. The candle scene for sure lines up with Big Chap. What a fantastic scene.

Yeah the runner in A3 has some good "standing" moments, when it kills David I believe ? Smashing his head through the glass.

Some shots of the new Xenomorph from the Romulus trailer makes me think that Alvarez it's taking this route to his Alien, surely not like the previous entries

I am not judging anyone's preferences but some of you are really talented at knowing what some scenes are based on shots that last less than a second in these trailers.
