On a related note - how brainlessly awesome does the trailer for Hobbs & Shaw look?!

I make no apologies for enjoying this series for what it is.

You might as well, it is what it is now.

I still miss Paul though, but the new characters are doing a good job of somewhat filling the void.
God, it's still hard to believe he's gone.

He was sorely missed in Fate, just because I didn't think Diesel had the chops to carry the film on his own.

I don't expect it'll be such a problem in this new one though, because both Johnson and Statham have charisma in abundance.

Paul had trouble carrying 2 Fast 2 Furious on his own, too. "Nah bro, I'm not checking her out!"

Yeah, but credit where credit's due - the "Don't drop the soap, homie!" exchange might be the funniest in the entire franchise.

They should bring Cole Hauser back.

Yeah, and Vin can be all, "I swear I know you... we meet in space?"

The super action vehicle it has become should enable it to survive the loss of Paul. Family is still a big factor in the series, and Paul was a big part of that. Fast 2 aside, there was always a grounded feeling to the movies Paul was in. But the new characters are blending well.

It's still bittersweet without him. That dialogue in Fast and Furious about not being there for his kids still gets me.

All that being said, I still don't see how Shaw could work with any of them aside from Hobbs, given that he freakin' killed Han.

I always thought that was the plan

Rain. Tons of it. And heat, lots of heat and wind.

It's driving me wild.
