It is not even a native 4K scan but an upscale of the master used for the prior 2K release.

With further DNR and AI interpreting details frame by frame with no continuity so totally invented "detail" pops in and out of existence. Such as being unable to determine whether pores are facial hair or one and the same from scene to scene.

It's only good looking if you think the store mode they have TVs in's good  looking. Just horrendous "dynamic" trash.

It's great that you enjoy it :-) You'd be hard pushed to find many people who'd agree with your assessment however. Incorrect colour grading, a waxy de-grained image with overuse of DNR /oversharpened image... to paraphrase Blue; it's not even really Aliens anymore, it's an AI's interpretation of the movie.

But hey, all change is bad right? Nothing can be improved ever, and what does the guy who made the movie in the first place even know.

Well, evidently, he does not know his own fanbase, based on most movie collectors, videophiles and the entire internet's reaction to almost all of the 4k UHD releases of his movies, which all suffer the same criticisms, or he wouldn't approve the shyte that has been churned out lately..

For the record, most of us were just having a little fun; For context - you have a lot of what would be considered 'hot takes' here (which is perfectly fine; it's nice to see diversity) though like many places, we have had our fair share of trolling here, and you just happened to make several consecutive posts that mirror recent/past debated topics here 😂 - you'll have to forgive the suspicions.

lol, I dare say lots of us own the Technical Manual and know the final chapters very well (I certainly do) it's referenced here often... you'll find we have all kinds of fans here, some have even worked on/with the franchise in an official capacity. Claiming that anyone who doesn't agree with your personal interpretation of a book [that presents suggestions from WeYu employees as they attempt to piece together events, and debate hypotheticals whilst looking at the evidence] must require a cognitive ability exam may lead many to believe you are one of those hateful cesspit dwelling opinion haters you mentioned. 😉 Welcome to the boards.

Good for you, There's a lot of things that I disagree with you on, like ACM The true sequel to aliens and Neil aliens Movie should've happened.
