That word drives me up the wall. Since pacific rim came out, nobody wants to say monsters anymore. And just to be clear, that's not meant in a negative way towards anyone here. I'm referring to my in-person experiences.

that's from well before pac rim tho I remember some dreadful discussions from 2008-2010 arguing that the cloverfield monster should be called a 'kaiju'

it's so overused by manchildren - like 'xenomorph' and 'yautja' - that it just tastes bad to the eye and the ear whenever used

I get why people are going for the great ape, though.   He's the underdog and people feel sorry for him.  They need to realize, the world doesn't need him.

From that last trailer it looks like Singular Point is 'hybridizing' some of its kaiju with a Kumonga with Megalon drills, Kamacuras with Gigan scythes and a blue Dogora looking Hedorah (?).

Rodan has something to do with a flock of smaller Pteranodons and Titanosaurus has something to do with Manda. A smaller Anguirus fights Jet Jaguar who has three different forms - short legs, a wheeled attachment and longer legs with the classic chest design. A meaner looking Gabara is doing something.

SP Godzilla is officially 'Godzilla Ultima.'
