About time! But very much looking forward to it. I hope you guys have an Isolation retrospective podcast booked in sometime soon!

Just a brief update from the funding platform about the book.

QuoteGreat news – the final manuscript for Perfect Organism has been handed in.

Up next is the editorial bit, where one of our team will review the manuscript from cover to cover, and work with the author to start turning this project into a real life, hold-it-in-your-hands book.

My enthusiasm for AVP has taken a bit of a dent in the last year or so (Prey notwithstanding), but I'm genuinely hyped for this book.

Same. And it has everything to do with Colony War

That was the start of it for me...

The damage that "novel" has done is incalculable.

QuoteAn unofficial guide to Alien: Isolation, the greatest, scariest horror game ever made.

There aren't many computer games that can justify an entire book, but for superfans, Alien: Isolation is truly extraordinary and Perfect Organism reveals all there is to know about every aspect of this masterful game.

Discover the rationale and authenticity of the set design and art direction, learn about the alien's unnerving abilities to second-guess the players and the importance of its unique height, find out more about the importance of the dynamic audio and the use of seventies archive soundbites, as well as the darkly beautiful music. And immerse yourself in the technical brilliance of the level design and the user interface, before reading about the deleted content, and the scenes and features that never made the final cut.

Alien: Isolation is a game of remarkable depth, complexity, and detail, and together with a level-by-level mission guide, this book will answer all of your questions, as well as many you haven't yet thought to ask!

I backed this so long ago I keep forgetting it's even a thing, and then every now and then I'll get a reminder like this and I get excited all over again.

Gonna have to dig the game out for a replay, methinks!

I used to have the art of isolation book, that was beautiful.
This is a game that I have sunk so many hours into.
My PS5 alone says I've played it over 210 hours.
My Xbox one I had a few years back said it was over 4 months playing this game.
I know the layout of Sevastopol station better than I know my own one bedroom flat.
And I love reading about the deleted scenes and what could have been. Hopefully there will be new information in this.
Sold.

I also recently got the iPhone version. Love the graphic and FPS settings. Wish the PS5 got an update.
On my phone play through I've just sent stompy into the gas giant and ejected myself into space.
Best part of the game.

+1 Thanks.  ;)

As soon as I heard about the crowd-funding campaign early last year I immediately pre-ordered two copies of the hardback.  I am so in love with this game and how immersive it is.  I love horror video games and this one by far has been the most intense experience.  At first I could only play this game for about 30-60 minutes at a time with how adrenaline-pumping it is.  I can now play for a bit longer since I know now how to better avoid Stompy, but it still gets my heart pounding.  Andy's passion for Isolation is so contagious when you listen to him talk about the game and his experience writing this novel.  One of my favorite art pieces is a signed print of the Stompy art by Brad Wright.  I proudly have that on display next to my gaming computer.  I can't wait to get my hands on it later this year and love the cover design.  Also really nice timing with Romulus coming out knowing how much this game has inspired the film.

A neat bit of reading to pick up on.
