In the American south the virus hasn't really done anything to change how we do things. In Kentucky mask are advised but not enforced because the way the thing was passed originally bordered on violating the law, so Police and Sheriffs don't actually enforce the mandate. Businesses can, just like they can refuse you service for any matter of things, but they don't because they need the business.
I did the things I was supposed to and still caught it (wore mask, avoided crowds which I do anyways because of slight social phobias, and stayed six feet apart from everyone) and since then I've just been in kind of a f**k it mode.
