Sure!  Why not?

All the novelizations vary from the films in one way or another.  I love Promy, but even I can see it had areas that could have been better, or better explained.  This would be the perfect opportunity to tweak the story.

They made a prequel to Covenant with no Aliens in it at all for Pete's sake.  Promy makes perfect sense...

I would love to read the (English) tie-in novelisation.

What I really want is something like what Orson Scott Card did for The Abyss novelization.  In fact, he'd be great to do the adaptation.  His Abyss novel would have added another hour to the film.  I read it twice back in the day.  It even came with diagrams of the underwater platform.  Great book.

It is a great book.  Card's a bit on the nose of late however.

I'm a bit late to the party, but reading through the topic got me interested. So, I emailed Alan Dean Foster!

Hi Guys,

A Hungarian guy has written the Prometheus novel by the film. He used the coversations from the movie. My opinion is it worked out pretty well. Maybe easier to translate it from Hungarian language, than from Japanese.
His name:José Alexander Nogueira (it's the author's pseudonym).
If you wanna download it, you can do that from here: https://tinyurl.com/9jpeerz4 This is the Hungarian version.
