Halloween 2 (2009), 8/10

I love the Halloween films, I don't know how people find it scary. Michaels Myers is awesome the way he never runs and stands there staring at you in the same room as you and you never clock that his there.  :D

The original Halloween II is pretty awesome IMHO.
Abandoned hospitals are spooky.

Centurion (2010)

A pretty damn entertaining film directed by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, Doomsday) and starring Michael Fassbender, Dominic West, and Olga Kurylenko about the Roman 9th Legion who get ambushed while trying to root out the "Picts" who were Celtic warriors.

The 9th gets massacred leaving only a few surviors, and its becomes a quest for those remaining soldiers to make it home alive, while being hunted by the "Picts" over the vastness of Scotland. I thought this was a very effective chase film with some really beautiful cinematography and landscape shots. The fight scenes are well choreographed and brutal as well.

They haven't done that bad of a job with the Halloween remakes IMO.

I'd give it a 56/100

I liked his other film "The Decent" a fair bit.

Was it all the Mother and the White Horse crap? That was the only thing I found off putting.

Still made more sense than Howling 2.  :D
You mean that vampire movie?

Eyyy... I think I see what you did there.

Because that film sure got its source material mixed up with another's.

I have seen the original The Howling. It is awesome.
The Howling II.....Reb Brown and Christopher Lee killing werewolves with stakes through the heart in Transylvania. It's a f**king vampire movie.

Want to see that. Shame it came out firmly under the radar and stayed there.  :(
