Ah, the good old "Nublarensis & Sornaensis" theory... personally, the only differences they have are the... um protofeathers on the males' necks and the paint skin. The matriarchy thing has been there since the first film if you think about it (the dominant female!), the JP3 raptors just implemented it with males. We don't see much of Raptors in Lost World to say something about their society.
