I want to make a version of Dinosaur where all of them are voiced by GTA V characters. The Carnotauruses are Franklin and Lamar.

Dinosaur was a lost opportunity and it looks like Walking with Dinosaurs is making the same mistakes.

What's wrong with Dinosaur?

I thought it was a fun movie.

I always found the "capture gear" hilarious, there is no way the equipment made to "catch" dinosaurs would ever work!!!

I found it very boring. It was pretty to look at but it tried very hard to be a modern-day Land Before Time and didn't hit the mark.

Well if you didn't enjoy the full movie, you must be able to appreciate its teaser trailer.

I saw this before Disney's Tarzan at the cinema and couldn't stop thinking about it. It blew my 10 year old mind and still does...

Yeah but again: it was pretty visuals that grabbed audiences. Most of the major reviews said the same thing. Beyond the mind-blowing CGI, there's nothing to the movie.

I beg to differ, for me its a great version of the we must find paradise tale. It's aged well and I'm sure kids are still enjoying it today.

Plus the score is amazing. Some of James Newton Howard's finest.

I wonder how this films visuals hold up in HD 1080p?

No talking dinosaurs in that teaser. History does indeed seem to repeat itself (Walking with Dinosaurs: The Movie.) I remember being able to appreciate Dinosaur for what it was; a really good looking mediocre Disney film. I wish these studios had the balls to make animated films WITHOUT dialogue. Let the animators tell the story. I don't want a bunch of celebrity voices dragging me back to present day when I'm trying to immerse myself in a film that is supposed to be set 25 million years ago.

But they make kid movies for kids and not grown ups and I think sometimes we all have to keep that perspective. (Every now and then the film makers can hit a sweet spot and make it very appealing for all ages.)
