I knew about Ebay around 1996 or 1997 when they reference it in a episode of Family Matters (I think).

Curious, when you've finished collecting Jurassic Park, are you then moving on to The Lost World? :)

Eventually. I'll move on to Jurassic Park Series II first, which were figures released in 1995 and had a limited run.

Yes I did! It was good, though Planet Dinosaur was much better. As informative as DR was, I felt like there was a bit too much emphasis place on comedic moments between the dinosaurs in each episode. It felt like they were making a movie almost more so than a documentary.

Cool cool, I liked it a lot because it was a bit of fresh air with how... personalized the Dinosaurs were through that comedic avenue. Its cool you like dinos so much, I feel like a bit of a relic because its such a strong left over love from my childhood.

Wasn't there a concept for part four where scientists mixed dog and human genes with the dinosaurs and then they were trained on how to wield guns?

Ever since I was three and watched The Land Before Time, dude. I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

I think dinosaurs have been making a comeback in popularity since Jurassic Fight Club aired on History back in 2008. The host, George Blasing, goes on speaking tours around the U.S. speaking to kids, schools, and the like to educate people about dinosaurs and I tip my hat to him. I think part of the problem dinosaurs don't get all the respect they deserve from the general populace, outside of paleontological circles, is because of the way they're presented. My parents think it's weird that at the age of 25, I find them fascinating. There's so much science to behold but mass consumerism demands dinosaurs be seen as a kids only thing.
