Yes, TPM 3D had extra scenes. It really surprised me. Is the blu-ray cut the same? I've not seen it.
Seeing how the 3D version had CGI Yoda in it, I'm sure it's the same cut as released on blu-ray. The only film that has not been retouched in it's home video release is Revenge of the Sith. The only minor 'change' in that is the use of a different transition effect near the end of the film after Padmes birth scene.

Thank God for the CGI Yoda. TPM's muppet was awful and didn't look like the original one at all.

Awesome stuff!

I still have mine in really good condition, I think, though I'm missing some of the capture gear.

I like how the 3D re-release trailer is trying to make the movie seem like a brand new film.

Which is great. A lot of the newer kids have never seen the film. It might be testing the waters.

I was only two in 1993, so I never saw it on the big screen. I do remember watching the first movie when I was three in 1994. I doubt they will re-release the sequels since most people hated them.

I can't get the mouth to stay open though. Apparently opening it whilst pushing down on the back of head is supposed to trigger a spring but nothing happens in my case.

I don't remember the mouth having a feature like that, but if you move the tail side to side, the head movies side to side as well (so he can 'thrash' his way out of the gear he's being held in).
