At the time we all thought this comment was in regards to Hawley's show, Luke doesn't seem to be a director on that one as far as we know. So maybe it's this rumored Ridley Scott show that Ridley and Luke were talking about here?

Luke's work on Wolves was very good, too; especially in the season one finale. A certain birth scene was very impactful. I wasn't so hot on Luke up to that point (really didn't like his movie Morgan at all), but he's proven himself capable on the small screen.

Here's the interview excerpt where, I believe, the rumors of Luke doing some directing on this show got started:

Ridley, anything you want to ask Luke about?

RIDLEY SCOTT Well, he won't tell you what he's [working on next] ... but he's about to find out what it's really like to design something that's going to be really scary.

LUKE SCOTT That's not going to help. (Laughs).

I know Scott has recently been meeting with Asbell (Remember the Alien: Covenant banger tweet), but whether it's to do with Romulus or this potential new show, I don't know.

Asbell doesn't really oversee the TV side of things, for what that's worth (though there is some crossover between departments):

A report from Daniel Richtman claims that Ridley Scott is working on another 'Alien' series and that he might actually be more involved this time around, even directing episodes. This is a far contrast to Noah Hawley's upcoming untitled 'Alien' series which Scott is only executive producing, and not that creatively involved. Hawley's series is due for an early 2025 airing on FX and Hulu.

I absolutely wouldn't mind Ridley finishing out the prequels as an 8-10 episode 1 hour show. We could get the initially talked about 3 or 4 other prequel movies that way. I yearn, but alas

Giant Freakin Robot sucks for sure but Daniel Richtman who is reporting the rumor this time around has been known to get some stuff correct...

I'm not gonna put any stock in anything here until there's an official announcement but, I would very much like for this one to be true. So here's hoping I guess?

I can kind of see some of Raised by Wolves unused ideas making it into this series if true.

I think Guzikowski said he had quite a few seasons mapped out or even written?

Either way, it's probably going to be as crazy as RBW with Ridley onboard and in command.

Wolves had a five season plan, more or less (it's TV so things could always have fluctuated there) with an ending in place.

I miss that show so much.

Guzikowski could be a really strong choice to write or showrun an Alien project.
