What would a "total rework" look like?

OK, that understandable. I agree with the statement too the reason why I said the question is because I like Seeing people's perspective on things.

'Zilla was still recognisable as Godzilla, just applied to a more updated idea of what a dinosaur looked like than the OG upright Godzilla.

Similarly, the AR Aliens are recognisable as Aliens, but with significant modifications to their posture, detail, head size and shape, etc.

If someone showed me the Emmerich Godzilla and I didn't know it was Godzilla, I'm not sure I'd pick it over some generic giant lizard.

With Resurrection, it ticks all the boxes.  Long banana head, inner jaw, ribs, back tubes, bony tail, etc. Despite the obvious differences, it probably ticks more boxes than the previous two iterations which lacked the smooth head and back tubes respectively.

Considering the more fleshy Aliens in Resurrection, the full grown Newborn - the FullGrown (TM) - likely wouldn't have had much of a biomechanical look.

But I want it to be biomechanical

On a serious note, I get it being fleshy was a choice but still if it was biomechanical It would've been much better

I won't even take a movie seriously if they are not biomechanical. I love the Aliens technical manual describing aliens feeding off the electricity generated by the Atmosphere processor.
