I don't think so. Although I cannot say for sure.

Pretty sure it's unrelated. But I've heard that both Riverdale and this new Sabrina are based on the Dark Archie timelines. Actually Riverdale made me enjoy Predator VS Archie comic a lot more because I hadn't really ever read Archie comics and therefore didn't realize how crazy it was to have the pred slaughter damn near every character lol.

I dunno if they are thinking different right now, but a key dude said he envisioned a larger world to come out of Archie's mythology.

One of the nice things about me being a part of Archie Comics is having access to a library of 4,000-5,000 characters. Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats ... those are characters who can very easily support their own show. But we [also] have superheroes. So in success, yes, the goal is to expand that way. But the biggest priority is to launch the show and to have it be successful and allow us to tell all the stories we want to tell with these castmembers.
