It's the idea that something perceived as intimidating or ugly deserves to be summarily destroyed, regardless of the good it brings to the world.

It's part of a larger style of thinking I find quite concerning.

While it's cool and all and facts about spiders themselves can be interesting, I guess I have to say now don't take it personally, but I really don't care as far as spiders entering my turf goes, they transgress they die, and I fully embrace any angry letters I might get from PETA as a result.
