yeah i always prefered the "the eagle has landed" or "wohhhooo i WON!!! or simply just "FIRST!!!!...you looser" lines but i have got to say i get the feeling that i have to pay tribute to prometheus aswell sometimes

after Sil from "species" i thought that Ridley was going to explore transparent creatures.
i liked very much the effect that has the thing that David was taking out of the ampule.
but then they change that scene and now is just black goo. i found this video, kind of creepy.
sometimes nature seems more alien than movies.

Wow, what a bizarre creature! You sir have opened my eyes a little.

In the extended clips (see this thread) you can see that each of the ampules in David's urn are actually transparent and the material in them is more green black and only semi-opaque.

exactly. Theres nothing we can do about it but, I still stand by my opinion that Giger and only Giger designs the best creatures.
He comes up with things that just no one else can, even if they try and mimic something he might do.

But thats not the case with this movie so theres nothing we can do, bring on the squidies!

It shouldn't. All we've seen is a limb/trunk. We've got no idea what it's/they're attached to. Like I said earlier, it could easily be a copy of the 'Deep Rising' concept, where everyone assumes the cobra-like things are individual creatures, but they're all just tendril-like extensions of something far larger.

Nothing wrong with tentacles on monsters. Especially if tendrils aren't all it has. Just wish they look segmented and biomechanical instead of smooth flesh.

You'll notice Sil's hair has a look which seems almost directly copied for the Sentinels in the 'Matrix' films.

If it's an early stage then it might not have those features. The hugger and burster were both 'fleshy'.
