HBO has announced the upcoming release of Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season Collector's Edition on Blu-ray with HBO Select. The box set includes the Blu-ray, DVD and a Digital Copy of the first season (that's the HBO Select part) plus the first episode of season two on Blu-Ray, as well as a dragon egg paperweight, all wrapped up in some newly-designed packaging. The box set will be released on Nov. 20 and will be priced at $99.97. The full press release, with all the details, is after the break.

Hmm. I wonder if this means that season 2 won't be arriving in time for Christmas on home video. Sure seems that way. Sticking in the 1st episode of season 2 seems silly if that season was to be available around the same time anyway.

Is it the end of book 3 that Oberyn 'The Red Viper' Martell appears at the end? If so I'm assuming he'd debut in the last episode of season 3?

I've been at odds: Mads Mikkelsen or Henry Ian Cusick. Seeing as Mads is far more unlikely, I would welcome Henry as Mance with welcome arms!

I had no idea that Henry was such a popular choice amongst the fans before I looked around on the internet, but he was quite honestly the first one that came to mind when reading the book.
