Not exactly fan art, but here's a Prometheus header graphic I designed for my site's Prometheus section. You can see how it's used here.....http://www.scifimoviezone.com/prometheusidgallery01.shtml (the graphic for Prometheus Image/Dialogue Gallery).

Never played it, honestly (inb4 do it now, I don't have the time). It's just a logical extension of the pic before it. The actual thought process was a combination of fan theories about Engineers being dead temporarily (ie; Cthulhu style) and then lifting this idea as a potential resurrection vector: http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-323

Very much a product of its time.

I dig the first one, but I love the seventh one. Kinda oniric, and I like that.

Dreamscapes/"nightmare logic" are definitely the best way to handle the more outre biomechanoids. Once you get much past the Alien or SiL you need to start bending some rules to visually depict them, as they're inherently surrealistic creatures. Introducing things like hierarchical proportion and symbolism doesn't work on film that well, but it sure gives a drawing or painting some emotion and grandeur.
