Bump. Ok...it's here.
The delivery truck pulled up about 2 hours ago & the guy unloaded this thing on a pallet. The box was nearly as tall as our family car...let me just say that it was an absolute nightmare to get in the house. The box is so massive it literally wouldn't fit through the door, so I had to open it & unpack the bust on my front veranda & then carry it into the house.
I had to move a couple of my Sideshow helmets out of the way to accommodate it on the tiny coffee table in the corner of my room...but ho-ly-shit. This is one of the most impressive- if not THE most impressive statue/collectible I have ever seen. It stands at roughly waist height & is truly a sight to behold. For anyone who owns the original Pred or Wolf 1:1 busts, it completely dwarfs those.
In terms of overall paint & sculpt it looks great. Some of the red patches on the top of Berserker's head look a little flat but the overall effect when standing a few feet away is awe inspiring. My only other complaint is the dreads- they kind of suck. Being made of rigid polystone they look very chunky & dry, & there's some pretty lazy sculpting where a few parts have been blended together or not smoothed out enough, especially on the back of the bust. There are also a few additional dreads that need to be inserted- but I can't even see the numbers inside the holes they attach to so I have no idea which ones go where.
Final thought- this is a true masterpiece. I'm surprised Sideshow even green lighted this beast for production considering its massive size, but it was well worth it. Comparing directly to my Predator 1 bust, the finest little details aren't quite as good as the original, but the sheer size & wow factor of the Berserker make this a must have if you're a serious Pred head collector. Just make sure you have at least 2 people to unpack it because you really don't want to drop this monster when taking it out of the box, I would have cried if that happened.
Sorry for the lack of photos, my crappy camera has disappeared.
