Relax, the kid is only a fan of Iron Man who he looks up too since his dad left him.

oh gawwdddd, and since Tony's dad has been long gone they're probably going to base their bond off that while having Tony step in as a father figure.  :x

Do you just hate children or something?

Nope. I hate over-used plot devices. Especially in my favorite franchises.

Cliched ones in movies, yes.

Aliens must've been a trauma.

I'm not a fan of Aliens. At all. It's only above A:Resurrection IMO.

Quote from: Aspie on Mar 30, 2013, 08:51:05 PMAs for Potts, as long as there is a reasonable explanation as to how she can use/operate the armor AND her short time span in it produces some emotional context, it will be tolerable.

Putting one foot in front of the other shouldn't be too hard. Moving around in the suit shouldn't be that tricky really. That part comes when you're trying to fly. And even in that case, I bet that Jarvis could do most of the work. Rhodey could manage it well enough in Iron Man 2, so Pepper shouldn't have much of a problem.

As for emotional context, well, for me, I've already found her "I got you." line from the trailer to be a touching scene.

It looks like Potts is flying/hovering though. And Rhodes had military training and insight into the technology Stark Industries was using. Potts is literally a maid turned girlfriend :P

And while that shot of her does hint at emotion, I need the full sequence to feel anything.

Are you talking about the shot where she's flying through the air and the armour is latching on to her? In that case, that's because of the explosion.

Never been in the suit before though. I don't imagine moving around in the suit should be any different than moving your own body and from what we've seen and heard, that's all Pepper is going to do.

I cringed but hopefully I feel different about it in the actual film.
