This whole GI thing is starting to sound similar to that whole Kane and Lynch debacle thing, sort of, but not really.

That dude dosnt understand that you have to practice with a certain species and get good with that species. After you do, the game becomes 10 times more fun. GI is prob one of the worst reviewers.

GI is basically the pilot fish of gamestop feeding off the scraps gamestop gives it from its gamestop gamers card subscriptions (a 14 dollar charge last time I checked).

Combine this with the fact that we won't be able to destroy lights in multiplayer and it reduces the cinematic quality of Alien-related multiplayer matches considerably.

Have you even played the demo???
You can smash the lights til ur little hearts content.

just ignore GI,  they are just a mag that exists to make money.  They were probably bitter that Sega ignored them when GI offered a higher score for a price.

they are in a sinking ship while the masses prefer near limitless online sources for reviews and media.   heck people could get more out of a justin.tv session to learn if a game is good for them, than their single page reviews.

My issue though is that so so so many people rely on their reviews blindly that Sega and Rebellion will suffer due to lost sales.  I don't think it's unrealistic to say that solely due to that review a few thousand sales are gone and with it a chunk of funding for A:CM and other future projects.

Is it going to sink the dev/publisher/game? No, but it was a terribly done review that will have consequences.

QuoteIkarop should we be seeing more reviews this week for AvP or are we more likely to see them next week?

There should be more stuff coming by the end of the week.

Also, another multiplayer preview at MLG. Includes some screens and a video preview.
