I'm just struggling to understand why Godzilla Vs Kong, an objectively bad film is getting such praise after 10 years of everyone ripping on the Transformers movies for pretty much being the same thing, did everyone just decide overnight it was ok to lower the bar?

Who cares? ???

Yes. Jeremy Jahns is an idiot, I've known that for years. by the way, I've already heard every negative thing anyone has had to say about the movie and 80% of it is hyperbolic bullshit. "This movie has a family you won't care about." Why can't I care about them, Jahns? Why can't I care about them? ::)

Here's what a level headed review looks like.

Yeah, I know. The Transformers films are some of the most hated films of all time...doesn't make Godzilla vs Kong objectively better. Anyway, I'll stop now before local trouble posts every video he can find on youtube.

Is that anywhere near what Age of Extinction made?

Who knows?

It's just relevant to the thread.

I'd say that's not bad for a movie released during a pandemic that so many people can watch at home like I did.

It's not bad at all. Plus the money from the hbo deal. Ol' Lope has also stated that he thinks the film should be re-released after the pandemic is over.

I think the first two hours of Age of Extinction are decent enough, but that last 45 minutes just kills it.
