I don't get it. Of course, I've never seen the movie either, so please explain.

On a side note, I gotta stop being so damn nice to these girls. It's getting me nowhere always kissing their asses, having them walk all over me thinking I'll get a piece of that. I have to discipline myself and "tighten up" my attitude towards them.

Matt Damon and Emily Blunt continue meeting each other, as if they are supposed to be together, but they are continuously  being split apart by people who end up working for "God." Point being that the plan of God is for them to stay apart. The whole movie is basically about Matt Damon saying f**k YOU to this plan.
