I like to think it's my decorating that makes the place. Yes, my mom chose a place with nice coloured walls and a great view, but ultimately the decorating was left to me. Okay, maybe she chose where some of the stuff went, but my shit makes it cool where it is. She's barely ever around though, so the place has basically become a whorehouse of a hangout for my friends; they just don't listen when I tell them that it's not cool at all not having parents or a parent around on a regular basis.
