I'd say that after watching a fight where both fighters had the real intention to kill/hurt their opponent in the fight itself. A human can't match a predator physichally, but the fight's not over at that point.
None of the fighters knew what the outcome would be. That's what matters.
That fact we know the gap between their strenght doesn't change a thing.

They don't stand much of a chance, maybe even with weapons in close combat. though still they can defeat the hunters in some way, maybe unknown to the pred. If that would occur, the tables could be turned with a shot from the pc. This chance gets dropped as the pred detaches his weapon. And again, I don't think At knew what exactly he was dealing with. First he was trying to find out, and when he saw he 'won' got cocky. And he died.
Of course I'm not saying a human would defeat a pred in hand to hand combat. Only the 'Chuck'.

Oh, I thought you meant that they no longer stick people to walls because their DNA has been changed.

Though, I still don't think it makes sense that they would bring her to the hive just because she has their DNA, because they don't bring any Drones to the hive.

Drones come here because they know where the hive is and there's no need to "bring" them.
Ripley on the other hand doesn't know where the hive is, and the Alien thought it would be nice.
