Quote from: Local Trouble on Mar 20, 2024, 09:56:37 PMIs that the planet covered in red and black aliens tearing each other to pieces?

Yeah, that's the one.

@SM might finally get to see a live-action praetorian.

Awe yea!

For me, that's part of the problem.  It looks a bit too clean and polished.  Like the prequels.  I want 70s/80s film grain and grime.

The trailer was a vibe. I've watched it several times today at work and my boss will not be happy with how much has not been done. Worth it.

lingering shots of inside of ship ( lots of fade to black )

"We've managed to replicated its DNA"

More lingering shots of the ship with the cast

"its got out"

*Siren music

*Facehugger creeps up a wall

Person screams

" second jaw starts to appear"

ALIEN ROMULUS ( Quiet music)

If I'm right I get to take over AVP Galaxy

Literally about 85% right

Very interesting! They absolutely NAILED the Aesthetic!  It looks beautiful. The tense opening scene is very reminiscent of the back burster scene in covenant. It has that same tense dread and feel. It feels like a very simple and contained story which I think will work well. I am cautiously optimistic.

PS. That's a lot of goddamn facehuggers. Jesus.

By gorgeous I didn't mean it looks too clean and polished. On the contrary, it looks gritty and dirty. I love the aesthetics.

It also needs space Jesus. Can we have some Space Jesus?

The aesthetics of the sets and props are fine, but I'm talking about the photography.

The aesthetics should get Ron Cobb, Roger Christian, Michael Seymour and Les Dilley credits for this film.

Looks like the movie a fan would make it he had 50illion bucks.

Will need to see more. The feel if it looks good though.

That trailer music must be up there with the Beatles in terms of use.
