All of the Fast & Furious films. Never was a fan of these. Saw the first one and thought it was distinctly average and I saw the fourth and thought it was actually decent. But 2 and 3 without Vin Diesel just didnt appeal to me at all. I saw a boxset of all 5 films for £10 so thought why not, afterall the fifth I'd heard was actually very good.
Weirdly this film series (after initially looking like it was going nowhere but the straight to DVD market) has actually gotten better with the last few sequels.
The first film was entertaining enough, the second wasnt as good and was just a boring rehash. I did like Tyrese Gibson's character though. The third film which I expected to be my least favourite was actually quite enjoyable and alot more fun than the second. However without any of the characters from the previous films it felt like this was the end of the series (especially with the cameo at the end). The fourth film however cleverly brought back most of the original cast and its definately the best of the first four films. And then the masterstroke. The fifth film. Wow. It pretty much brought together the casts of all of the films so far and gave us the best film yet.
I wasnt bothered by the upcoming 6th film but i'll be eager to see it now. Justin Lin has really turned these films around.
