Marathon: Infinity reference, perchance?

That's what I was thinking; it'd be cool if they used this as a new title instead of "Halo 4", but I doubt it, seeing as Microsoft is hungry for the recognition of direct continuation.

Yeah. It'd be cool if that was the new title, though. And it would definitely imply a much new direction for the games. M:I was where the whole Marathon series went even more cosmic then it had been before, what with the parallel universes and time travel and such.

Probably a reference to the UNSC ship Infinity, which houses Spartan IVs, Covenant/Forerunner tech (I think), and other cool things. It was featured in some of the Halo 4 concept art.

That's definitely it then. May just be a new novel, a prequel to Halo 4.

The Infinity seems more than likely to link up with Chief, reintroducing familiar aspects from the original trilogy.
