Well, yes they already hunt in warm conditions, but what about when the sun goes down, temperatures drop at night. When the predator jumps in the water after Arnie Im sure the mesh keeps him warm in the cold water. Weather can always change so im sure even in the hottest climate, its just a precautionary tool.
