Hollywood Collectibles Group is re-releasing their Smart Disc replica:
This is the first time I've considered buying an HGC replica, so I'm looking for advice. At $800 I'm worried about the build quality of this thing. Videos I've seen of the original aren't super encouraging. I've heard the mechanism on the original run was wobbly and the gears didn't move without modification. Even though the promotional photos look amazing, I'm worried about how cheap and plasticky it sounds in some of the reviews I've seen. For example:
