My personal opinion is that they need to go somewhere completely new and original with this vehicle. Simply rehashing old storylines (Android, Xeno, Spaceship, Medlab, female lead, groundbait crew) isn't going to do the business. That's the real failure about AC. It doesn't really go anywhere. It's like they put the earlier films in a blender (but oddly enough left out Prometheus, in the main..)
Despite its many flaws, one of the endearing and genuinely good things about Prometheus was that it tried to go somewhere different, away from the dark and well trodden corridors that were common to the earlier films. I'd like to see them pick that ball up, get a decent script and plot, and run with it.
