These prequel films by Ridley Scott are a total mess. Nothing adds up, major details are ignored, and Ridley keeps contradicting himself. Why did the Engineers in Prometheus want us to go to LV-223 if they wanted to destroy us on Earth? Never explained. Strong hints in Prometheus that the Aliens as we know them already existed long ago, which fits with the first Alien movie, and then Ridley decides THE ALIEN SPECIES IS CREATED BY AN ANDROID BUILT BY HUMANS IN THE FUTURE! WTF???
