The art may look less impressive at the minute but perhaps the art will be dynamic and convey the story well.

The art is better than Prometheus L&D, I'm satisfied with it.

I wonder how much the Fire & Stone/Life & Death stories influenced Alien: Covenant?
The paradise, where David and Shaw have apparently ended up.
Them seeking answers about the Engineers, probably spending a lot of time studying what they've done and what the black accelerant is all about, like Derrick Russell did in Aliens F&S.
It would be cool to see something happen to David like what happened to Elden. I'm sure there will be something fresh brought into the saga with Covenant, but so far I can't help but think that the synopsis sounds like it's moving in the direction that F&S took.

Nerdist has an advance review of #1, and it's pretty positive (3.5/5). Beware of some small spoilers.

That 2-page spread gives me hope for the art!

Hey! Where are the 2 pages? Maybe it's because I'm on the mobile? I only see that same pic from the last review. The one with the slack jawed squiggly Aliens.

It's the same image, but we see the characters on the right. I think it looks pretty cool.

Ah true, a bit cartoony but they look better than John Bolton art I guess. This is the 5th or 7th gunfight on grass since Fire & Stone. It's like they just don't learn I guess. Both the characters and the people writing this story. Lol. Yeah, I went there.

Another review, via Fanbase Press. It's positive, too. Beware of spoilers.

Spoiler
I wonder if the Engineers are going to be killed off in Prometheus #4, or if they'll hang around in the background and play a role later on?

This art is going to be divisive. I like it well enough.

If I had too..I'd give a 9.5/10 for the Art in Defiance & I'd give this a 6/10. Cartoony Aliens demistify the Alien and kill the horror.

I've only skimmed it but on the surface of it, yeah, not digging the artwork.

Also not a fan of the artwork, too simplistic and cartoony. Hopefully the writing can carry it through, hope we get more of Galgo being Fire and Stone Galgo. I hate him but he always made me grin the moment he opened his mouth, so hate as in the good kind of hate.  :P

I'm praying that the writing and story will carry the next 2 series. I wish Brian Wood and Tristan Jones and the colorist from Defiance continue doing Aliens comics, because they really get it.
