I was going to keep the chestburster ending but a guy on another forum prefers the Assembly cut ending so going to change that later today.  I'm almost finished the main edit but got some tweaks to do, etc.  Then a tester mpeg will be rendered either today or tomorrow.  After that got to learn how to make a decent DVD menu, etc.

I prefer the visual power of the chest-burster but I agree with those who argue that the CB-less ending is a far more impactful ending for Ripley as it implies she still had a chance when she leapt.

In the visual sense, sure. But if you look under the surface then I think you get more pay-off without. Depends which is preferred I guess. I always struggle between which I prefer.
